UIB works to ensure the postponement of the PBAU tests does not penalise students

The university entrance exams for the over-25s and -45s have also been postponed, in addition to the personal aptitude test for the degrees in Early Childhood Education and Primary Education

Given the postponement of the High School Diploma University Entrance Exams (PBAU), the University of the Balearic Islands will work in coordination with the Regional Department of Education, University and Research to set a new date for the tests and to apply the appropriate measures to avoid students being penalised, as always in line with the indications issued by the ministries of Education and Vocational Training, and Universities.

The UIB's main aim is to clear up any uncertainty and ensure university entry occurs on an equal and fair basis for all students.

The decision to postpone rather than suspend the tests was taken on Tuesday 17th March by the ministries of Education and Vocational Training, and Universities, and the regional departments of education in the autonomous regions, due to the situation caused by the COVID-19 outbreak.

The new dates for the PBAU shall be set in the coming weeks. It was also decided to adapt the university registration calendar to the new test schedule. All these measures shall be determined based on how the outbreak situation evolves.

Postponement of the entrance exams for over-25s and -45s

In the same vein, the university entrance exams for over-25s and -45s, which were due to take place on 27th and 28th March, have also been postponed. The new date to sit them shall be set in the near future and all those affected shall be notified.

Postponement of the personal aptitude test for the degrees in Early Childhood Education and Primary Education

The personal aptitude test for the degrees in Early Childhood Education and Primary Education (PAP_Edu), the written stage of which was planned for 13th June, has also been postponed. The new date shall be set in the near future.
