The University of the Balearic Islands has set up a smart chatbot on the COVID-19 news webpage<http://coronavirus.uib.cat> that can answer basic queries about the illness. The assistant was developed by 1MillionBot and has been provided to the UIB cost-free.

The assistant is still in the trial phase and only available in Spanish. It has been developed by multidisciplinary team from different areas of knowledge (biologists, linguists, sociologists and engineers) and the information it provides is taken from official sources, such as the World Health Organization, the Ministry of Health, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (USA) and scientific articles.
