Management statement for PAS staff and information from the Prevention Service for those working from home

The university has updated information and criteria to monitor the work done from home by admin and services staff (PAS). Management have produced new instructions setting out the criteria for monitoring and fulfilling the PAS work day during the state of emergency.

In turn, the UIB Prevention Service has made a questionnaire available to those working from home so that they can self-assess the specific conditions of their homes. The assessment comes with specific information regarding applicable hazards and preventive measures for workspaces.

Those working from home have the same risk factors as in their usual office space, such as equipment, furniture, the layout of work resources and muscle, mental and visual fatigue. Those working from home should have information and training about occupational hazard prevention so that they are able to identify the minimum conditions required for their workspace.
