Suspension of face-to-face activities extended until 12th April

Congress authorises extension to the state of emergency to combat COVID-19.

On Wednesday 25th March, the Congress of Deputies approved the government's request to extend the state of emergency until midnight on Sunday 12th April. The state of emergency was declared on 14th March and enacted through Royal Decree 463/2020 of 14th March.

The extension means that the measures set out in the Vice Chancellor's Resolution of 15th March 2020 will also be extended. In this sense, the suspension of face-to-face activities will continue whilst the state of emergency so requires it. In turn, timeframes and deadlines for processing university procedures will also remain suspended. The timeframes will be recalculated and restart when Royal Decree 463/2020 or, where applicable, its extensions are not longer in effect. You may consult the Resolution here.
