Instructions extending and developing further the action protocol to adapt face-to-face teaching to online activities

Due to the health crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the university system requires measures to ensure the quality of academic teaching for students in the final part of the 2019-20 academic year. The University of the Balearic Islands Executive Council has updated the guidelines it approved so as to provide instructions to UIB centres on organising and adopting all the necessary measures to move face-to-face teaching and assessment online. In turn, the Ministry of Universities is working on a general criteria document to adapt the Spanish university system during the 2019-20 academic year.

After having decided to keep online teaching running until the end of the academic year, the Pro-Vice Chancellor for Teaching Affairs at the UIB has, given the state of emergency and health crisis due to the COVID-19 outbreak, produced instructions that extend and develop the action protocol for adapting face-to-face teaching to online activities. The criteria apply to all official undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes at the University of the Balearic Islands.
