In accordance with the Vice Chancellor's Resolution of 15th March regarding the UIB management measures for the declared state of emergency, attended activities have been minimal on the first day of the closure of the campus and university centres. Some lecturers and admin and services staff came to their workplace today for essential brief periods to pick up the material they needed to work from home.
Aula digital
Lecturers have Aula digital tools available to them to communicate with students and offer online classes, either via videoconference or by uploading audiovisual resources.
The Aula digital platform includes a forum for public tutorials as students may have similar queries, as well as noticeboard for student announcements and notifications on relevant issues.
The system also enables classes to be provided via desktop videoconference and all necessary resources and materials such as videos, podcasts or pdfs to be uploaded. Interactive resources can also be provided through external tools such as Edpuzzle or Go Formative. Moreover, Aula digital can also be used for students to submit their work and do oral presentations.
One way of providing lectures to students is for lecturers to record a video and then be available to answer comments in the chat, forum or desktop videoconference service.
Essential services
The university's buildings shall be closed from 3 pm today. Only Son Lledó shall remain open to receive mail and packages, as well as the student halls of residence.

Access to these facilities shall only be possible with permission from the Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research and Internationalisation.
